Welcome to Lola, Our new puppy

Lola joins our family this month to be head of the household. She has been here a little over a week and in complete control of the three men who live in this house. She comes from the Houston SPCA and was born on March 22, 2009. She is a Chihauhau and she is a quiet lady who prefers not to speak most of the time, but does like to bark at her own reflection in the mirror. I think she is jealous and thinks there is another Chihauhua here as her competition. She weighed 5 lbs when we got her and on her first trip to see the VET, she weighed in at 6 lbs. so she is now on a diet.

The VET says she will be a big Chihauhau and her adult weight should be between 10-12 lbs. She has fawn coloring and a white streak down her face. She loves people, riding in the car and barking at her own image in the mirror.

She likes to store her toys under the bed or under the sofa in the living room and each new toy goes to one of those two places immediately. We are proud of her and hope you will love her too, when you stop by and meet her. She like to bury here puppy snaks for later and she may be related to the infamous "Ruthie the duck lady" from the New Orleans French Quarter.

  2. Lola was a wise young girl and got that taken care of before she left the SPCA. Sadly, there will be not grandchildren.
