Jimmy Mabile, age 67 passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah, GA. Jimmy was born in Plaquemine, LA and grew up in White Caste, LA.
He moved to New Orleans in the 1970 and began a career of 31 years in the Surgery Department of Charity Hospital, State of Louisiana, retiring in 2000. He was a resident of Mid-City (New Orleans) for many years and then moved to the Fauborg Marigny. He was a frequently at his camp on Blood River in Springfield, LA for many years. He was a lover of New Orleans; Mardi Gras; St Patrick's Day, March 17th, his birthday too. Often teased, that he was he only person who had parades every year for his birthday.
He moved to Pensacola Fl in 2006 and then to his final resident was in Pooler, Ga. He spent his recent summers in Hendersonville, NC.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jules and Iola Mabile. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Carolyn Mabile, Waco, TX. His nephews, Andy Mabile, Mount Calm, TX.; Tood Mabile, Kervin TX.; His nieces,, Nancy Mabile, Waco, TX and Michelle Mabile Taylor, Waco, TX. Cousins Jocelyn and William Haydel of Baton Rouge, LA
Also survived by Gene White, David Camp and Derle Abel, Pooler, GA. Warren Shippen, Bessiane Parker, Lane Lacoy and Ethel Jones, Todd Scurto and Eula Price, New Orleans, LA.
